The West Park Hospital site in Epsom, Surrey has been redeveloped by Linden Crest Nicholson Homes to create over 400 houses and apartments. At the centre of this scheme is a grade 2 listed Water Tower, built in the 1920’s but latterly abandoned to the pigeons and Peregrine Falcons.
As part of the local planning agreement, LCNH will convert the tower into a bespoke and architecturally unique multi storey 3 bedroom apartment. PDG have taken on the implementation of the original planning scheme under a Design and Build Contract and in conjunction with FS Contracting face some unusual technical and design challenges. The sheer size and mass of the structure does not lend itself to modification but we are sure that the end product will be a worthy and “Grand Design”
